"With such a stressful busy lifestyle, I decided to create my own aromatic candles for escapism and therapy. As a chronic dreamer, I was initially driven to recreate my childhood memories growing up around Australia's sunny shores.  I recall our garden filled with exotic plants typically grown at the time such as jasmine, franjipani and gardenia along with the faint smell of sea air.  However, these oils are extremely expensive and so started to look for alternative oils that would still allow my self indulgent escapism.

I firmly believe in the healing powers of pure Essential Oils, so during my most stressful years, when my two girls were just babies, cemented by the long rainy Summer of 2007, I developed my INVIGORATE recipe which I burned during the working day. At this time, I also had difficulty sleeping, so I developed a calming recipe, RELAX, to allow myself time to unwind. I would light my RELAX candle an hour before putting my children to bed, so they too gained the benefits for a good night's rest.

It wasn't long before friends started to use my candles and the many compliments received by men and women inspired me to develop more scent blends. Now I have seven blends, all of which I burn daily, alternating them for different mode effects.  The last blend was a collaboration with my friend Rhiannon who wanted something a little more warming, and voila, Sheer Bliss was born!

There are thousands of candles on the market today, but I wanted to offer something new, natural, therapeutic and of the best possible quality and price, I like to call them "affordable luxuries". I also hold deep appreciation and respect for our environment, so I have selected products which have the least possible effects, hence I make reference to not incorporating Palm Oil.

I have now spent over 2 years intensely studying candles, developing and testing and have chosen each ingredient for their natural benefits.  Like Soy Wax for it's clean burning (especially as I suffer from asthma) with a tiny pinch of a secret something special for superior scent throw, and pure Essential Oils for spiritual therapy, which are far more expensive than "Frangrance Oils" that currently make up over 99% of the scented market and are in fact made using chemicals to fabricate a natural scent.

I believe I have now created my idea of the perfect natural therapeutic candle, and they were certainly well worth the 2 years of research and development. All of my effort means these candles offer harmonising results, from ecological resources, so do not emit toxic emissions and should therefore not effect your respiratory system, whilst the new wax blend provides the best possible scent throw (to fill a room of scent) AND longest possible burn time, thereby making them affordable.

When I see images of my favourite flower, the divine franjipani or plumera, or even hear it's name, I feel a sudden surge of excitement.  It has been my dream for years, to introduce it to my friends and customers.  I am often asked to describe the exotic scent of the franjipani which carries a mystical energy.  Whilst this beautiful flower is incredibly expensive to harvest as an essential oil, I hope to one day offer the true scent of paradise.... Unadulterated extravagance because we all deserve it!

There is nothing better than getting back to nature and your roots. I was sick of reading all these strange and often carcinogenic ingredients used in simple everyday products like soap, so I decided to develop my own, good old fashioned cold pressed soaps. Very soon you will be able to immerse your senses and nourish your skin with my handmade soaps and other body products...

 

What next?

 

 

Skincare - Most people I meet comment on my skin, and those who do know me also know that I have always afforded high end luxury products alternating between Sisley, Creme De La Mer, Elemise, Espa and La Prairie to help fight the aging process.  The best news in my life recently is that I have been using Arbonne.....

After using Arbonne, I can honestly see the difference not just to my skin, but to my pocket as well!  I am so convinced about changing products, that I have decided to introduce Arbonne to my customers, as a Consultant.

Arbonne is not exactly a new product, as it's a 30 year old U.S based business, but it's fairly new to the UK, it's only been available here for the last 2 years.

Their products are derived from natural plant properties produced with the most advanced scientific technology under stringent Swiss laws to produce amazing products, similar to the aforementioned luxury names but at more affordable prices.  Sound familiar?  It should, it's my ethos!

Arbonne may be new to the UK, but it's certainly packing a punch in the industry and word is spreading like wildfire.  It won't be long before you will see it everywhere, if Vogue's Beauty Editor keeps boasting about it in her blog.

So, now in line with my own ethos of getting back to nature and quality affordable luxuries, I will be introducing the Swiss formulated Arbonne range and soon these incredible finds will available here, alongside my own little gems, through this site.
